I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:18-19 Do you really think that God is NOT going to meet your needs? Maybe you think this promise is just for “other people?”. I find that that most of the time, we are not questioning God’s ability to meet our needs. We all believe that God can do anything. Our worry, therefore, must be in the area of his willingness. Well, God has inspired these words to be written. And from his own riches he has already made a decision to give us the gift of salvation, when he didn’t have to, that’s a clue that he is for us, and not against us! My pet theory is that our worries are not about needs at all, they are about wants. Here we have no guarantees, other than the fact that in the next life we will be thrilled and filled to the max, and there will be no tears or sighing or mourning or pain. That’s worth living for!I
