I’ve done interviews with Kevin Keegan, Glenn Hoddle and Ron Atkinson in Swindon, (in my days as a football reporter) but never preached there until today. Gateway Church http://gatewaychurchswindon.org.uk/ have an excellent modern building (which was almost full this morning) on an industrial estate plot that they share with the Bible Society, and I really enjoyed meeting the church for the first time at the invitation of the pastor, Mark Thornett.
I did an equipping in evangelism talk, and was delighted to be invited to stay on for lunch and talk to http://www.cliveelliott.net/ and his wife Caz who lead Alpha there, and also the rest of the Alpha team. It’s great to see what God is doing in Wiltshire!
