I really enjoyed preaching on John 3:16 at the “Bible by the Beach” youth event yesterday in the Winter Garden. 15 people responded to the first appeal, and came to the front. An additional 8 people responded to the second appeal. One guy came up to me about 30 minutes afterwards having evidently been “born again”, so that was all very encouraging. Many thanks to Andy Johnstone from Hailsham who invited me. His son Chris did a great job leading worship.

I then drove my friend Rico Tice back to his London home. Rico had been preaching at the adult event in the adjoining Congress Hall. Rico has served as an evangelist at All Souls Langham Place for many years. He is the dynamo behind “Christianity Explored” and it was great to catch up with him for a couple of hours on the drive back to town. We discussed preaching Tim Keller’s gospel preaching on idolatry all the way along the A27!
